Doc, one last question, then I'm through.

If BP explodes when in a pile, how come it *poof*s in the pan and doesn't explode?

Who says it isn't exploding.  My beard certainly doesn't.  Boy do we need a range day to share ideas :-)

My only issue is that someone mentioned 'good irish whiskey' and, well, i just gotta say there ain't no such friggin thing
    :))

Frank Lloyd Wright drank a double Bushmills, and my first whiskey was Jamesons

But for me, other than sentimentality, there's no reason to drink that sh!t anymore

Well. I thought i covered that in my opening line. Viz: 'Someone mentioned Irish whiskey'

I'm guessing reading comprehension isnt a big part of the canadian education system. Too busy instructing you pseudo anglo/francs where to add extra 'U's

Eh?  Love Labatts, and my folks lived in Palgrave outside of Toronto for several years while my dad worked on the Shuttle Arm.

Of course, i didnt see any of the money. I was born on the gnarly twisted side of the family tree. In the US to boot

I'm just jealous and bitter :)

The American banking system or the British or the German. You have way too many personalities for  me to answer a direct question. As you know we settled with the insuarance et al today and I'm sorta celebrating

I don't need to google your family name as it is well known here and I recognised (note s where Zed should be). I am still left wondering what this has to do with cheap Irish whisky (note no E in whsky). You are a very confusing man, at least for a dumb Canuck

It's Jefferson's 18 year presidential. It's all that's left of the Pappy Van Winkle stock which was my fave. Woodford Reserve is my every day drinker but a good glass of Pappy is as good as it gets for me.

    other side of the family.
    he was a smart dude.

i never knew of them... once made a restaurant reservation in Montreal with my wife, and was told it would be an hour or so.  Gave them my name, and we went outside to their for a couple drinks. five mionutes later a table opened up.  hmmm werid.

chef sent some appetizers on the house.  and our (cheap) bottle of wine was comped.  thought 'man, this place is alright'.

didn't find out later why. hahaha  they musta figured i was someone's kid. (well, i am someone's kid, but they musta thought i was some RICH person's kid)

I have been using my heat gun for probably a year and a half since I saw a looftlighter being demoed at a local egg store. I had a heat gun from when my college apartment A/C unit used to freeze all the time and I wanted it melted fast so I tried it and it worked great. As stated above the heat gun will melt if you leave it on the fire too long my first one died from that. I bought a new Wagner one from home depot for $22 and now I put the heat gun directly on the lump until it starts popping out of the egg and then I hang the heat gun over the side of the egg pointing at the lit spot a couple inches above it and in 5 minutes I can have my small pretty much lit from side to side.

@mountaindewbass‌ I am still using this $20 something Wagner heat gun from home depot. Been a good 3-4 years and its fine. Even let it sit a minute too long a couple times and melted around the tip but it still works. Its not a sit it there are forget it method. You will have fire in 2 minutes and will be melting the gun in 3-4. I usually sit it in 3 different places about a minute each then hang it over the side of the egg by the handle to stoke the coals.
  • I buy mine at Harbor Freight on sale for $8.99 or so. Work like a charm!
