Everyone needs a good laugh now and then. I invite everyone to find some of the funniest posts and paste them here. Some examples.
--A certain guy in a dress.....I think it might have been Madmax.
---A certain ladies typo .....might have been cat's.
---The egg that was named in the divorce settlement.
Here's my contribution.....funniest post ever...
Background: drbbq has always been a really cool guy...I always read his posts. But he wasn't always an egger. Years ago on Ray Basso's forum he used to razz us eggers.
So imagine our surprise when he came over to the green side. This is his first post. It's pure prophecy. (Big Smile) Enjoy!

It's true.
Yes, it's true that a medium sized egg now lives in my van. It really is a veeery long story that someone else will have to tell.
But know this. Very soon I will be the most decorated egg competition cook ever. That guy with the six fake eggs will be eating my dust.
With my guidance the egg will become a real force on the competition circuit. You see I've just been waiting for them to work all the bugs out of these things. I am a patient man and finally after thousands of years the egg is up to my standards.

I don't remember when it was, maybe last year but stike did an etch a sketch style picture of a guy and man did he get riled up. That is the funniest I've ever seen.

I think Gretl once instructed folks to pee into their domes when cooking ribs. I think she meant to say something like "peeking down into the dome" but omitted the "k" either due to a typo. Or perhaps she knows some secrets the rest of us don't know!
I did a couple seconds of searching and found a post of NB and others recounting the story, but didn't find the original. Will have to look later.
Heeeee (or should I say "peeeeeee"),
Cornfed -
I found Gretl's post and her apology here. :silly:

Haha. Nice work!
And a good trip down memory lane, too. Look at some of those names. Earl, King-O-Coals, the Colonel, Elder Ward, C~W. I know Spin is still around, but he doesn't pop up as often as we'd like.
Thanks for posting,

Didn't Earl change his name to Charbuddy? Or do I have the wrong person?
-
-
You're close. The person who used to post as Charbuddy changed his name to AKA Mr. Earl. This was the result of a long naming contest held here on the forum (...well...on the old forum, to be precise...) which culminated in an announcement of the new name made at the Waldorf Eggfest. Not surprisingly, I think I was in the can when the announcement was actually made, so I missed out on the best part. But I digress...
Earl is our friend from up North, Egging in Canada along with his lovely wife, Barb.
Meanwhile, where is AKA Mr. Earl? He got famous and was on TV, but I don't think we've heard much from him lately.
In closing, just writing some of this wacky history out makes me smile thinking of just how zany life on the forum can be.
Heeee,

I can never find a "jokes/cartoon" thread when I want to, sorry for digging this one up from 2008.

I really think the funniest post ever was the forum drama club. Don't remember who did it, maybe Darian.

Tree rat the post about the fancy wine? They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. That's against their interests. - George Carlin

Scottie's post about being passed out naked during a party definitely makes the highlight reel.
Those sugar gliders weren't bad either.
