“The Gospel” Legs and Butts

Legs and butts were on sale, so I took advantage of it and cooked some up. Seasoned both with @MeatChurch ‘s The Gospel All Purpose Rub and smoked with cherry wood.
The Gospel is good stuff — it gave the butts the tastiest bark I’ve ever made (strangest sentence ever). Goes well on veggies too.

I heard Matt left us for the dark side. He’s a pellet head now (sponsored by Traeger if what I heard is uh, gospel). My dealer told about it.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

@The Cen-Tex Smoker - are you sure of your source and it's not fake news. Seems news (of many descriptions and opinions) is getting a lot of action related to Yeti coolers around here.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -

Fried up some fresh okra too. Rough cut, soaked in buttermilk, then tossed in flour. Trick is to put the prepped okra back in the fridge to lose the tackiness before frying it. That way you don’t lose the flour in the oil. Works best with a 50/50 mixture of flour and corn starch IMO.
Money shot:

@The Cen-Tex Smoker - I should have never doubted your source, especially since this is not a weekend and @lakewade, @20stone, @caliking and @Foghorn and other characters were not mentioned.

Those are some mighty fine looking eats, Dying. I almost picked up that rub a few weeks ago. Now I really want to give it a try.

Looking good Craig. I got the rub recently too, but my eggs have been awfully lonely lately with my travel schedule. Never tried it on a butt, but need to cook one soon so.....Columbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013
