Burger Bites

Got a handful of 21 year olds who elected to spend NYE with us at the lake.  Playing around with some ideas @piney and I are considering for future blasts/fests.  Never enough beef at these (except the brisket at BB).  Simple prep.  Ground chuck with shredded cheddar and carmelized vidalia burger bites.  Some real gourmet sh... ;)

Youngsta's gave it 2 thumbs up.  Happy New Years all.

They were good, not burnt ends good but good enough and easy enough to turn out at fest.  Used sharp cheddar.  Next time it'll be extra sharp because the cheese didn't shine enough.

When I look at those I'm reminded of a scene from "Taxi" where Reverend Jim (Christopher Lloyd) asks someone "Do you know how many marbles I can fit in my mouth?"

When the person answers "no" he says "Well I guess I'll just have to find out" and walks away with purpose.

Unfortunately, I can't find a link to the scene...

but it I bet I could fit a lot of those burger bites in my mouth.

    Great cook.

I'm thinking that at Butt Blast there needs to be a "throwing burger bites in the air and catching them in your mouth" contest.

Since i can't make it, others may have a chance to win.

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"
