Got tomorrow's brisket on one L. Got XL riding at 225ish waiting for Pizza Time so I can bring it up to 600 quick and give it a clean burn since I'm making Matza Ball soup on it tomorrow along with apple and peach cobblers. Cleaning and prepping other L for hassleback potatoes, roasted corn, and faux crab cake stuffed peppers, and MM reloaded with leftover lump from last nights cook for a few personal size challa breads or maybe some pie, haven't decided yet.

Quick 3am-ish check while taking pup out. She just had the doggie equivalent to ACL surgery and it breaks my heart we have to keep her boxed up.

Thank you and thank you. We're kind of breaking the rules right now with some couch time while the wife is sleeping. She's worried about the pup jumping off the couch and re-injuring her knee. Supposed to live in box 2-6 weeks and be on leash out of box. I do have her on leash......

Same thing happened to my brothers dog. They got her one of those 4'x4' cages. Worked really well. Laid a bed, toys etc in there with her.

App prep underway. Stuffed peppers with a faux crab cake mix I made. Of course I had to fry some of it up to try. While it's not the fabulous recipe I got and made from @Florida Grillin Girl, it's pretty tasty for what it is. Our guests don't eat shellfish or pork but I still have to put on an awesome BBQ.
The matza balls are made. Friday's chicken dinner was the beginning of this. I broke down two chickens and made a soup stock. Clarified the stock and retained the smaltz to make the matza balls. The stock will go on the grill in CI Dutch oven and matza balls added with chicken and veggies. Smoked matza ball soup!
Sorry if the kitchen looks messy. I've been at it hard this morning.
Brisket almost ready to come off. Burnt ends to follow.

Nice bark! Can't wait to see the sliced pics of that thing.
I have an 18# on right now too. Trying a butcher paper wrap for the first time. Also trying just plain ol salt n pepper instead of fancy rub on this one.L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....eggAddict from MN! -
Burnt ends working. Peaches pealed and cubed.

Will you sign me a personal autograph when your cookbook comes out? You're killing it with all these awesome cooks!"The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

It happened again. Guests came over, started to have a good time, started talking about the eggs, the cook, etc.... No finished pics. I was told I could cater a Jewish wedding though, well, except for the whole Kosher thing.
Two big cooks in a row I missed the outcome. I just missed having dinner with these folks so much so the fun began as soon as they came over.
My wife did make a few quilts for gifts going into the holidays and all. I got this pic.

Started first cook about 430ish Saturday that finally gave up 330ish Sunday. Fired up other two around noon Sunday. Never got the MM involved.
Wife has agreed to do finish pics on future cooks. I just get too busy trying to ge everything finished up and space doing it. Disappointed.Bill Denver, CO

Everything looks great. Too bad about the finished pics. After all your effort, it's a nice memory to have them. Your friends and family will get used to pics being taken before everyone digs in, mine did.Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!
