Peach Crisp

Didn't cook hardly at all today. Makenzie did most of it today. However, we did the peach crisp on the Egg.
As most of you know, we browsed the farmers market yesterday. Got some decent peaches from a place out of Candor, NC. Asked the wife about doing like a peach crisp or cobbler, she thought the crisp sounded great.
Made this in a Lodge 10" CI skillet, went 350° with foil on for 15 min. Removed foil and cooked for another 30 min. I went high in the dome.
Wife used the Pioneer Woman's recipe as a base HERE. We didn't use the sauce.
1 - Pulled off the Egg.
2 - Plated with some Friendly's ice cream!
This stuff was good!
Thanks for taking a look!

That looks great! I cut up some peaches and mixed it with a little brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and a splash of bourbon. Threw it in a cast a cast iron skillet and tossed in the Egg until soft. Turned out great with some vanilla ice cream.Las Vegas, NV

I've never tried a a dessert in the egg before you definitely have me inspired :-)“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

Perfection. The photos and the dessert.

My fav desert of all time! Will start making it myself instead of relying on Mom when she's visiting. I think I leave some things as "hers", which isn't really logical...

That sure looks good tarheelmatt.. I've bookmarked and printed this for my recipe book. Look forward to trying it when I am able to fire my eggs up again. Had total hip replacement 5-17, so not able to do much yet but I'm getting awfully itchy to start a fire. With my wife being a good ole southern Al. girl, I just might be able to talk her into helping me make this. Would make a mighty nice treat after a walk on the treadmill.
