Hello eggheads, So after having my lg.egg for 4yrs. The wife buys me a mini
For our 18th.anniversary.Oowee I love that girl.
So besides the normal things that you can cook, here is my question.
1. With a full load, how long can you do a low and slow between
250deg-350deg.
I have a 1.8lb pork loin ribeye roast waiting to be cooked with platesetter.
I"m up for suggestions please.
2. What are some of the things that you"ve cooked? Please share pictures.
Thanks to all, you are appreciated.

Congrats on the new addition. I use my Mini mostly for direct steaks, sausages, etc. Smaller cooks that way. I'll step aside as @Mickey gives you the best Mini breakdown on the site. Enjoy! It really is a nice addition to the family!

As long as you catch the fire on way up you should be able to get 8 hours. In other words don't light a big fire and then choke back. What indirect setup do you have? I would suggest the woo and pack of amazon stones. Use one for indirect piece and one for mini pizzas, calzones, empanadas and the likeColumbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

6lb shoulder went 8 hours between 250-300 and had probably an hours lump left.

I've not done any low and slows so I can't help you with cook time but I've done several indirect cooks and like @chubbs says to maintain 275-350 you got catch it early on the way up. It will also breath fire if you want it to. It's a fun lil cooker.

Leroy (Spring Chicken) put together a series of slide shows called Magic Mini Moments and posted them on utube. As I recall, there are 7 of them.
Here's one. The rest are still out there.

You will find that after playing around with the little mini that it really excels at two things. Chicken and steaks. It's here that the little mini really shines.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
