Is portability a want? If so consider the MM or SBGE with a tote cart.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

I have an XL and am looking for a 2nd for the same reason. I'm leaning mini max, because it can hold the same amount as small, but is compact and portable like the mini. Perfect for tailgating or the egging at the beach, camping, etc.XL & MM BGE, 36" Blackstone - Newport News, VA

Portability would be nice I'm just afraid of the MM not being big enough. That's my dilemma on which one to go with. Use of so much Lump with the XL is another reason.

Or maybe I just need to buy The right/more accessories for my XL not sure much help as needed

How many people are you cooking for on a daily basis? 2-3 go small or mini max. 3-5 medium. 6 and over large. How much you can prep on the smaller eggs is truly amazing once you get a hang of it.I raise my kids, cook and golf. I believe when I get another, it will be a small instead of a MM.------------------------------

Mostly five people on a daily basis but Sometimes I just don't feel like firing up the XL for just me and the wife

For the price difference between the MM, small and medium I went with the medium and love it.

I started with an XL and added the Mini Max to it. Love the combo. Great for app's or sides while the XL is chugging away, or for meals when it's just the wife and I.Steve

Medium all day

I LOVE my medium and it gets used a lot more than my other eggs. Starts quicker and uses a lot less lump than my L. Small takes a little longer to get to temp for me.L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....eggAddict from MN!

I love my small to go with my large.
Not to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol is a solution...

Lots of folks with XLs add MBGE. The medium is the right size for two and in a pinch will cook for four.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I say find your budget and go with the biggest you can afford. If that is the large then get it. Then get the portable one for your thirdColumbia, SC --- LBGE 2011 -- MINI BGE 2013

Large and MM for me. MM is awesome easy on lump quick to get going.

My feelings for the mini are obvious. That said I vote for the mini. Now that I have one, it gets the mother load of my cooks. Granted it's small, but for small cooks it is outstanding. For searing steaks its in a league of its own. I have a large BGE as well and love it. I use the large for the low indirect part of the cook and sear on the mini.
Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Is a medium hard to transport now and then
