mini max upgrade

My mini max is to heavy so I'm upgrading my side handles to aluminium ..... j/k I did it because it just looks better. I will send picture once I have it

No it just has a sloppy rush job of a Rutland when I installed it

I used scrap material hanging around the shop but I would assume it would be about 8.00

No I like to drink so why not put those wine corks to use ....j/k Yah I put them on all my eggs once you stab one chicken and get a false read you will never do it again

Its not original I think I got it from @Smitty‌... I belive he used wood but I figured a cork would work and they do

I remember reading the question some of us had regarding the handles. Is there a solid "thick" rod that does most of the supporting and then what we see are just beauty covers? I like the upgrades! I already have the Rutland but, I figure I'll change it once the factory gasket begins to falter. Taking it off before you cook on it probably makes it a heck of a lot easier to remove.

these are solid rod the factory OEM part is tubing with a nut at the end.

I have been using the MM just about every other day and I was thinking I was consuming a large amount of lump. So I decided to go over everything and discovered the daisy wheel was not fitting properly so a slight mod was needed.

BEFORE MOD

open hole by 1/8 to take out the imperfection in the original

Flush fitting now

mini max upgrade
