Beef back ribs with mac on the side

I had a neighbor moving out of the area and for her last meal she requested my beef back ribs, which I didn't mind since it's also one of my favorites. Some home made mac with bacon just to compliment the dinner. The XL sure holds steady on the low and slows.

I've never done beef ribs. How long do they usually take? How do you like your extended grate? Is it stable if swung to the side with food on it?Steven

stemc33 I cook beef back ribs pretty much like I cook pork ribs. As far as the extender goes it adds a lot of versatility to the egg. It is stable to swing to the side considering what you have on it. In the pic that's a 12" cast iron skillet with probably 2lbs of mac and cheese in it, so yes it will tip the bottom grill. I like beef ribs as much as pork ribs and cook them both the same. Nothing quite like steak on a stick.
