First cook with Rockwood

Options
I cooked for the first time using Rockwood. Chicken on Saturday and ribeyes on Sunday.

I am impressed. I have never used anything but BGE lump. I noticed the absence of the white smoke that I was used to when letting the BGE lump get to temp. I also noticed that I never smelled the chemical smell that I did when I used BGE lump.

It got to temp fast and, it seemed to burn more evenly than BGE brand. I did use more than I do when I cook with BGE lump, but I attribute that to the fact that it burned more evenly.

Overall I am very satisfied. I plan to order at least one pallet soon.

@sgh - I don't know what you have been burning but the only lump that I have burned that is close on neutrality and burn clean as fast as Rockwood would be Ozark Oak. You won't be sorry for a Rockwood purchase.
