Another newbie and Picts of first cooks
After learning about the Big Green Egg from a super fan on our honeymoon 2 years ago (in Italy of all places) and hearing my husband whine about wanting a smoker for years, we decided to take the plunge. We also just had our first baby in January, so figured we'd be around the house more and entertaining.
We have been having so much fun cooking on our large egg! Surprisingly, I think I love the egg more than my husband (love cooking on the egg more than he does... Just to be clear).
I enjoy seeing picture of your cooks so am sharing a few of our first attempts. Most were a success, besides the first pork butt taking way longer than expected and having to eat it for breakfast instead of dinner!

Welcome. Looks good. Having kids inspired us to cook as well, and now even better with Egg, at home than at a fancy restaurant.I like my butt rubbed and my pork pulled.

Welcome aboard!!
I love it when a newbie jumps right in with tons of pictures on their first post. Guess we don't need to teach this one much, she'll probably be teaching us stuff before she gets to her 10th post.

Thanks everyone! True. I've definitely enjoyed cooking in the past, but now im able to take it to a whole new level, which is exciting! I'm also into photography, so between the baby and the beautiful egg food, I'm in photography heaven.
Btw- Im still laughing from someone's post the other day saying their wife cooked dinner on the kitchen clock! -
