Beef back ribs. Maybe my favorite thing in the World....
Picked up some individually cut but extremely meaty beef back ribs. They were going for $2.39/lb which is a heck of a deal around here
Seasoned them with The Rub Co's Santa Maria Rub and hit lightly with my Pastrami rub which has Pepper, Coriander and some other stuff in it
then threw on the Large Egg in a shallow pan at 265.
After 2-1/2 hours, I poured a cup of beef broth in the pan and covered tightly with foil and let that go for about 1-1/2 hour. Then I removed the foil and let them cook for about 20 minutes.
Those are so good it has to be a sin....

jpeg is easiest. do you see the "attach a file" button below the text box? Click on that and it will let you browse and select an image. Once you have selected the image, it will appear as a small image below your post. if you hover over it, you'll see a button that says "insert image". If you click that, it will put a large image in the post wherever your cursor is.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

No problem at all. I am sitting here sipping a North Coast Brewing Old Stock Ale which might just be the best Barley Wine I have ever had in my life!! Of course it is a 12% Ale so my judgment may by somewhat skewed......Large BGE, Santa Maria Pit, Hasty-Bake Gourmet, MAK One Star Pellet Pooper, 26" Weber, 22" Weber Performer. Beef ribs are my favorite rib. The rest of my family doesn't agree, they prefer pork, but I LOVE beef ribs with a little Stubb's original drizzled on them.

I love me sum beef ribs. I've done SV short ribs a few times recently, but I haven't bought beef ribs in a while. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm drooling. Love beef ribs but the stores around here never have any good ones - just bones with shreds of meat. I'm jealous.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

No idea you could do it like that w/o photobucket.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
Yes, those are great cuts. And a really good price. I don't know why, but I almost never find them. I think the last time I had them, the price was over $4/lb. Bought all I could afford.
FWIW, a few years ago, my wife asked what I wanted for my birthday dinner, meaning where would I like to go to eat. I told her I already had something I was going to Egg. She was fine with that, but when she saw the package of beef ribs, she asked why I didn't at least go for steak.
When she tasted the finished ribs, she understood. Her comment was something to the effect that the results were as tender as steak, but w. all the flavor of 'Q.

Those dino bones look great! I recently discovered these as well and I wept tears of joy when I ate them.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Nice cook Marty. Hope to see more of that on here. Looks like beef reibs are on the menu this weekend (IF they are under $3 per lb- we are experimenting all month with Under $3 cuts of meat to see what we can come up with)Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX
