I am a firm believer in parchment paper. also, 25 minutes seems really long. Normally my pizzas are done in 10 minutes or less at 450 to 500°. As other said, never put oil on the stone1 · -

probably less than an hour. I would go with a lower temp - 200-225. FWIW, when I have smoked natural casing sausage, the casing gets really tough. Good luck!1 ·
