Yep, me! :woohoo: :woohoo:
The community supplement to our statewide paper did an interview and photo shoot with me this week for today's edition. I cooked flat iron steak, grilled local sweet corn and made a simple salad. The writer did a lot of research on the Egg as well as on the Forum and included a couple of Forum recipes in the article.
BTW, the flat iron was fantastic - DP Red Eye Express is the perfect rub for this cut.
Here's the link to the online version. Trying to get all the pics from the photographer, but may have to pay for them. Only one picture is included in the online version, where 3 shots (plating and slicing the meat) were included in the print version.

Great job representinn Clark! Very good article.
-
what a really interesting read! I had no idea that BGE sold such a high volume of eggs each year! And the author got it right on with her facts and information. Also, next time I make hot dogs I will for sure slice it to prevent curling and splitting!
-
Clark...Good for you!! Keep it going!!!

That is a nice article, Clark. You are famous now!

That was great. Made me want to go buy one of them Big Green Things. Without a doubt you sold a bunch of Eggs in the area. We will probably be hearing about an upcoming Madison County Eggfest before long.
Hats off to the writer too. Great job.

Congrats! -
Clark,
My oldest (one who just got married) went to MFP to look at Eggs, they told him they only had two Larges in stock and may be a month before they get anymore. He almost has enough money and is worried they will be out of stock...
Told him I'd loan him the money if he'd quit coming over every time I grill, ready to sit at his table!!!!Kent Madison MS -
HA !
I think loaning him the money looks like a good idea! -

I've got a long way to go to be in your class

Thanks, Leroy. The store owner has been debating having an Eggfest for a couple of years. We just can't get him to "get off the pot" and do it.
Hey, how's the "bionic knee" doing? Rehab going OK? -
Thanks, Kent. You cooking much this weekend?
Doing our cooking on Monday..... -
Thanks, Clay.
I'm always nervous when talking with a reporter - never know what's going to be in the article. -
Very nice, I enjoyed reading the article.

Let us know when he decides to have one. We'll shut down the Chicken Ranch and join in the fun.
As for the knee... It gets better every day but it's slow going. I would have thought the pain would be minimal and I could be walking half way normal three weeks after surgery. Not happening. I still hobble when I walk. I rarely use my walker here in the house but I take it with me if I go anywhere requiring more than 100' of walking. Still too unsteady to try doing it full-time.
I'm tapering off the Vicodin from 2 every 4 hours to one plus two Tylenol every 5-6 hours. It doesn't always work. I also use the gel pack a lot. That helps. I'm also anemic and feel cold most of the time.
I get very little sleep at night. Only once did the Ambian work like it's supposed to work.
Other than that, everything is just peachy and I'm looking forward to normalcy again.
