Everything was great tonight. The wifey said it was the best steak she's ever eaten. I grilled some peaches and drizzled the honey rum sauce provided by Vidalia1--they were soooo good they didn't last long enough to take pictures of.

Haven't had dinner yet - stomachs growling. That looks mightyfine.
I went through a couple polders and then started putting HDAF at the cable to probe interface. Not sure if that was the cure but I haven't lost one since then - just a thought. -
Awesome looking food!
Thanks for sharing.
Mitch's Oh Yeah! -
That colour on the steak is just perfect. Noticed you cooked it indirect? And high temp practically T'Rexed????? Could you elaborate a bit more on your cook?? TKS

I got the egg up to 650 and seared the steaks for about 2 minutes on each side. I took the steaks off put the plate setter in and cooked indirect until meat temp was 155. I put the onions and potatoes on once the plate setter was in.
The potatoes and onions were done at the same time as the steaks. I took everything off the grill and removed the plate setter. While the meat settled I cooked the jalapeno creamed corn direct for about 7-10 minutes.
I'm surprised the timing worked out so well. -
Looks great. The corn looks fresh. Is it?!

My first cook on my brand new egg was at that temp (I know - not a good idea). My gasket was fine, but I fried my thermometer probe. I second the foil wrap suggestion.

I've posted a very good recipe for it in the recipe section on this site.
I don't know if it is the same recipe used here, but I have done it 4-5 times now and it is very very good.
