Freshly ground coffee + Dizzy Cow Lick + Dizzy Jamaican Firewalk + Mini.
Bad news is, price seems to be creeping up on flat irons. This one was $6.99/lb at Kroger. I think the secret is out.
Meanwhile, I've got some 50/50 bread flour/whole wheat flour no-knead dough rising. I decided to try to add some whole wheat flour before trying the beer-instead-of-water step. If I'm gonna be making this stuff every week I might as well try to make it healthier. It took at least 1/8 cup more water to bring the flour together when using the whole wheat flour in there. Will report on results tomorrow night.
Cheers and Happy Saturday Evening to everyone!

Have you tried Dizzy's Red Eye Express yet.I think I like it a bit better than Molly Sharks coffee rub.As to the rising cost of flat iron steak you have to go to a smaller grocer/butcher shop that is not aware of the craze that is going on at places like TGIF.I found a small grocer that will cut them up for me at the cost of $3.99lb.Grub looks great and enjoy.

feed that mouth some steak, man!

I have not tried Red Eye but I've heard a lot of folks say they like it a lot. I need to get a bottle.
Also, I agree - haven't yet found a good butcher around here, but I'm sure the Kroger price will keep going up with the popularization of this cut. $3.99/lb is an incredible price!
cheers,

thanks man

Yeah, I need to find a butcher who will cut me these, as I mentioned below. In Augusta my dad gets the "meat guy" at Publix to cut them - I don't think our Publix here in Smyrna even has them.
cheers,

As always, an excellent looking steak, JF. I think that I have the same chef's knife, too. The one in the top picture looks like my 8" Twin Henckels Pro "S" chef's knife.

Yup, that's a Henckel. Thanks for the kind comments.
Cheers Mike!

Great looking dinner.
I went to Aspen's tonight and was actually disappointed.
A TRexed steak is soooo much better.

My father in law lives out in Martinez (just outside Augusta).
Those wings over at Sticky Fingers really pushing me over the edge in the decision to purchase my EGG.

I'm drooling. I'm at work, and I'm drooling! You never cease to amaze Jason! I have a hard time finding the flat irons by me, so we 'settle' for hangers :side:
