BGE Beginner,[p] Gently scrape off the big stuff and burn off the small stuff. Coat lightly with vegetable oil or Pam.

Make sure you DO NOT use any soap to clean it from what i have heard just my $0.02

just don't decide to spray the grate with PAM while it is sitting on a lit BGE! Blow torch burn down house!
