While I really liked it and it was doing a great job on most of my lawn, the smaller unit (Mova Lidax Ultra 2000) struggled with a steeper slope in my front yard and some uneven terrain in my backyard.  I returned it and replaced it with the larger unit on the left (Mova Lidax Ultra 3000 AWD).  Very, very happy, the future is now!

Apparently buying a "No Soliciting" sign and posting it prominently on your front door, right next to the doorbell, means absolutely nothing to people.

My #1 tip, don’t answer the door to anyone that you aren’t expecting. Especially the police. Tip #1b, the Nigerian prince does not need your money to unlock his fortune. 

Ubiquiti UniFi U7 Outdoor Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Access Point

I finally broke down and bought a conveggtor for my large . Planning on doing a lot of pulled pork for my parents platinum wedding anniversary Labor Day weekend. I’m going to do a trial run this coming Wednesday or Thursday. Now to find a fresh jar of peach preserves, already bought some Blues Hog bbq sauce.

Likely not what you need.  If you are looking to have wi-fi coverage around your barn, you will need to run some wiring (optical fiber or ethernet with an active repeater) to the barn and then connect a wi-fi access point.  Another option is a wireless bridge (with directional antennas) to avoid running a cable and an access point.

 I plan to stick it on a gable peak of my roof and point it in that direction. If the signal doesn’t reach I’m going to bury cable and put it closer to the barn lot. I read somewhere cat6 is only good for 330 feet or so. Sound like a plan? Not really my expertise and there’s so much info out there. I heard there is a lot of bandwidth drop with the directional antennas

330 feet is a best case scenario, you will need an active repeater to reach 500 feet.  Optical fiber is a another option IMHO, but it also comes with its own set of problems and $$$.  A wireless bridge is likely a better option in your case.  Think of it as a virtual cable.  You can get decent bandwidth over fairly long distances if you have direct line of sight in between the 2 nodes.  The bridge is just an interconnection between your main building and the barn.  You will still need an access point to provide wifi coverage around the barn.

I haven’t looked at the UniFi lineup recently, but back in the days, they had bridges that could connect directly to their APs (only need a bridge on one side and AP on the other).

For example the proposed second receiver location (outside shop wall) is running about 80mbps and I’m posting this sitting in the shop at 2.1mbps

Looking at the specs, I think that the outdoor 7 does support wi-fi meshing.  If you go that route, keep in mind that some of the airtime will be used for the uplink.  Also, not sure what the weather looks like in your neck of the wood , but rain and snow can have an impact on signal quality at those frequencies.  Personally, I’d go with a point-to-point wireless bridge + another AP at the barn.

Like you had mentioned earlier It looks like I can get a ubiquiti device bridge pro (house) and point it at my outdoor 7 (shop).  so the bridge would act essentially like a wireless ethernet cable? All I would need is the outdoor 7 at the shop? I would not need any additional equipment like a router or anything at the shop?
