You stopped me cold on the mushrooms! It was a lousy year here even for those braggarts who sell them. Their buyers are those who won't set one foot in the woods for fear of deer ticks, mad squirrels and pistol packing mushroom hunters who will shoot you for entering their sacred grounds in the deep woods!

I really like this cook, and it inspires me to try a pork chop which has been on my to-di list for a while. Outstanding sides also

No, I did not brine it. These thick chops I have been buying are very juicy and tender almost like tenderloin😋YukonRon said:Our patch we have harvested a pound or two in previous years yielded zero. This was a spread meant for royalty, and everything looked delicious.Thank you for sharing, now I must up my game, again.Did you brine your chop?In the bush just East of Cambridge,Ontario -

I get them at Farm Boy. They sell a regular chop and a thick one, obviously I go for the thick ones.

I’ll have to grab those. Wife was at Farm Boy yesterday.Watch for the ones that have a nice chunk of rib cap on them, they are to die for! Be sure you get the thick ones, my wife and I split one - cook it to 135. I do a reverse sear with sauce at the end.
