Trump has belittled our allies, browbeat them at every turn for a year. Insulted their cultures, dismissed their concerns, beat them up with tariffs, said Nato was a waste, threatened to take their land and then he is surprised when they do not come to his aid in a war he started by himself and is rapidly spinning out of control?
It doesn’t speak well for him that he is shocked his abuser doesn’t come to his aid when he is getting punched in the face. I bet they are secretly excited to watch this happen. Their abuser is getting kicked in the teeth. Why would they help?

Honestly, I wonder if this has less to do with world leaders feeling resentful of Trump and more to do with them questioning its purpose.
