$4.50 / gal ?!???!  is that at a marina or some kind of non ethanol premium?

    could be cheap diesel!

I saw $3.29 at the expensive station today. Likely a fuzz above $3.00 at the average station. It helps when a major refinery is only 15 miles away and oil wells not a lot farther.

looking around atlanta on gasbuddy.com there are definitely some premium recently climbing up to $4.50.  regular still much lower in the 3’s but… yikes.

Around $3.10 here this afternoon; odd as UT is usually higher than the nat'l average.  Glad I filled both tanks a week ago.

regular is 3.49 where i go which is a highway exit station, but theres one still at 3.29.  bp never dropped there prices after covid and held at 3.69 til this week, raised it to 3.89. i expect they never drop it again.

for the next few weeks, buy crude (and gas for your car) and watch the news concerning Hormuz..it will continue to climb until supply levels....

might as well recoup some of your gas money..

  • $3.49 here is West Texas where we pull the oil from the ground and have a refinery 90 miles away.  I work in the oil industry and don't like paying this, even though it comes back to me eventually.

Hahaha. I haven’t seen marina fuel for $4.50 in a decade. I wish it were that cheap. It’s probably at least $6 now at the marina for Rec90.

$4.50 was just standard issue premium.

Stopped at the BX for a couple flannel shirts, they had a rack of fleece-lined marked down from $79 to $20.67!  No "Talls" but their sleeves were long enough, had 3 XL's and I bought them all.   :)

I tried to buy Detroit tigers opening day tickets for my son's birthday.

Six tickets. Opening day are just under $5,000. 2 days later under $1,000. We are going to go two days later. It will still be a surprise.

last boston red sox game i paid for, the lower creature bleacher seats were 3 bucks. back in the 80's. the crazy overpriced upper box were about 10 bucks......14 beers more. creature bleachers were more fun then, for some reason they civilized those seats =) must have been after someone threw a buck knife at the ny strawberry

Just got back from San Diego. Paid $5.79/gal when I filled the rental. Many places were over $6. I think $6.39 was the worst I saw.

Finding a ranch home was a big prerequisite when we were searching 6 years ago for a new place. Lose the stairs and if/when I get on the roof I wanted easy. I’m getting old ;)

Great thinking, we keep telling ourselves to sell our two storey home and move to a bungalow and we're way older than you  ;)

About six years ago I bought a refurbished Herman Miller Aeron office chair; found a place that refurbished used chairs and I got it about half-price, but still stupid-expensive.  The headrest took me 45 minutes to attach, and it didn't look right and fell off quickly; it never was very comfortable either, I had to bend my neck backwards to even touch it, so when it fell off I didn't worry about it.
Tonight I started searching; found two different designs for that headrest, and neither looked like mine (the chair had been redesigned once).  Did a search on "HM Aeron chair headrest", and found a refurbishment company who offered a replacement, with a writeup that the original headrest was poorly designed.  It was on sale, and when I entered my email they sent me a code to log in, so it was where I'd originally purchased the chair.  The headrest looks nothing like any photo on the net, so it may be an imposter.

I bought this one from the refurbishment folks:

Anxious to get this mounted; I've been without an office chair headrest so long (since I retired) I'd forgotten they were a thing.   :|

I didn't even know you could get headrests for them.  I don't think I would use one.  I just threw a HM Aeron away.  Base separated from the post amid other issues.  It was old/beat.  I bought it used for $150. I do really like those chairs.

Damn!  I am going to Dodger’s vs. DBacks tonight and was upset at the $300 for 2 tickets - especially when I checked seat geek again for same section today and they are $50 cheaper now, but no refunds or returns since it’s third party sale - I hate all the big money players that buy every ticket then resell.

You just need your Tigers to be crappy as the Twins. $12 home opener tickets last year with not a person in the same row. I'd imagine it will be the same for this years opener. At least your team will be competitive this year.
