I bought one very similar to this (looks the same, so probably made by the same manufacturer) about three years ago and it has held up very well.

I bought the same one maybe 5 years ago and it's still kicking. I wouldn't give it a "10" because I've had easier scales to use but it does the job well enough and I'd buy it again. It's mostly the "units" interface and how it is displayed that I don't care for. As for accuracy, I think it's pretty good.OhioEgger said:I bought one very similar to this (looks the same, so probably made by the same manufacturer) about three years ago and it has held up very well.

I have a few. I just tend to buy whichever one is cheapest and the size I want. They are commodities anymore.

For weighing spices, or semi-commercial pouches of pulled pork and brisket? 'uge difference.

KD-8000 seems to be a good choice for heavy stuff, get a separate smaller one for the small stuff. btw, don't try looking for the DIGI model I posted, it's ancient like me

I’ve had these for about 5 years, they work great, big stuff like flour and water on one side and little scales for yeast and salt etc.

I've had both smaller ones below with no problems. The Etekcity for 9-10 years and the small spice one for 4-5 years. For the real big stuff I break out the Robinair, a holdover from my past career. I like the looks of the KD-8000 and the ability to read the display with larger bowls and trays on the plate.

Thank you all very much for the suggestions - all were intriguing. I did a deep dive on every link.Thank you!I pulled the trigger on the KD-8000. Camel camel camel has it currently tied on Amazon for lowest price it’s been offered.. the capacity and accuracy nailed it for me, but the ability to see the measurements with a large bowl on top was the close of the sale. Last scale was difficult to read.Along With an added extended 3 year Ashurion warranty for less than $60 delivered tomorrow, I couldn’t say no. If I drop it and it breaks, we’re covered.Again - I think any of the suggestions would’ve worked really well. The side-hustle bbq business we do will really appreciate the extra size.8-DLarge BGE and Medium BGE

Past career was commercial HVAC and controls tech, I haven't worked out in the field for 25 years or so. My company at the time told me if you're not going to work in the hot and cold weather we'll put you in management!!!!
LOL... Still behind the desk!!!!

I have the same. The pull out display is a huge help for me.DoubleEgger said:I’ve had good luck with this one.My Beautiful Wife uses it more frequently than I since she started baking again. She uses it for assorted breads and pie crusts, pizza crusts. We would be lost without it. It is easy to store, does not eat up counter space. It is just an incredible kitchen tool, we have had this for about 11 years, and it has been one of the better investments in kitchen gear we have made.Another BGE must have……..don’t get me started…."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber
