Finally decided to check back in after an extended break. The time away from here, and social media in general, has been good for me. I've been in contact with a few of you so I appreciate that.
Life's been good. I've started a native prairie on my property. The apiary is in full swing and it's been a busy winter building wooden ware for the bees and prepping for spring. I've got a bunch of peppers started to start yet another hobby of homemade fermented hot sauces.
The Hoosiers whooped asz in college football. We've had a foot of snow and two days ago it was 73* and I was sitting outside, enjoying a beer. Today, it's 21* with snow and a nice brisk wind. Perfect for smoking a pork belly that's been cured and hanging out in the fridge to dry.
Nice to see @lousubcap is still holding things down around here.
Pic dump time.....

Welcome back!
I had an unvoluntary cutoff from the 'net for 3 weeks, and agree, it helps to clear the mind. Anxious to see how your prairie comes out.SuperCallousFragileRacistSexistNotMyPOTUS

Way to surface in style. I'm sure your prairie will develop in fine fashion. Nice looking ribs right there.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.
