Well I was engaged in a standoff with a utility boring company. They said they were going to bore through my property. I said no that they didn’t have a valid utility easement and that I had not granted them one. I left for 30 minutes to go to the pharmacy. I came back to find 30 feet of conduit and fiber optic sticking up in my yard. I told them to get their—— out of my yard. They didn’t have the legal right to bore there and they had just ruptured the city water across the street. I made sure that I didn’t have any weapons on my person and called the police. To cut 2 hours out of my story they eventually had to admit that I was correct and that the existing North/south easement was 2 doors further down the street. Thus they took their
—— and left. Btw the policeman just wanted me to calm down and let them trespass on my property. -

It is unfortunate, but seems to be pretty common - many people just want to do what is easiest for them, not what is correct. This behavior is very unfortunate when displayed by those in authority or leadership positions.Gulfcoastguy said:Well I was engaged in a standoff with a utility boring company. Glad you got it resolved. They should be glad you didn’t let them do it, then just cut both ends at your property line.

The city fixed the cities waterlines. This is the third time cable companies have hit the sewer or waterline in front of my house while boring for the conduits. Hopefully the city back charges the boring company.zaphod said:did they fix the city water line? -

Part II on the fiber optic felons. While I was gone yesterdayI started getting texts about mid morning that my internet outage would be fixed by so and so time. It turns out that the clowns had bored through AT&Ts fiber optic which supplies my internet and cable TV. AT&T finally got it fixed 4 in the morning. AT&T will have to deduct those hours from everybody's monthly bill in the neighborhood, pay the crew overtime, pay for several hundred feet of fiber and at least 2 splices, and apologize to my doodle for violating his territory (he laid facing the window and growling all night long). I hope that they sue the pants off of Sparklight and that the city does also.

my neighbor has right of way thru my back yard and put in the electric under ground thru it. busted thru my fiber optics. some kind of mechanical splice with what looked like vaseline or electrical grease is now buried in my yard. i see that not working too long with all the plow and salt equipment the town sends down my driveway for snow removal. did the neighbor ask to dig up my yard, no. did the electric company hired crew use dig safe, no. was there a marker 5 feet from the right of way for my fiber optic cable, yes. first day of vacation last spring......fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -

unsubscribing, just because I bought a random gift from your website does not mean you can email me 3 times a day for the rest of my life! Also, I never put my phone number in the shipping form, if it insists I just make one up. Outside of motor freight I have never had a shipper call my phone so why the heck do they need my number.South of Columbus, Ohio.

Thanks! We always get our trees from TROSA. It’s an organization that helps people recovering from substance abuse. They’re always happy when we pull up and ask “what’s the biggest tree you’ve got?”alaskanassasin said:looks good @JohnInCarolina"I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

I suspect Professor had either measurements or markings for where exactly to place the tree. This isn’t his first rodeo!GrateEggspectations said:

I’m sure he also calculated the tensile strength of the yarn holding the tree together and estimated the subsequent outward trajectory of the tree limbs with each cut.Ozzie_Isaac said:

It’s looking tight at the top of the PL table. The Gunners slipped-up, City fully up and running andVilla can’t stop winning. Then Palace lead the also rans with3 points covering 10th to 4th. At the foot Wolves continue to do a great job of being demoted and planning only for next season, not the next match. Burnley are on the slide - but Leeds have hit form and put West Ham back in jeopardy.
Saturday
Chelsea vs Everton - the Chels’ have wobbled and thats probably caused by their ribosome red card habit and constant team rotation, but the story is that the visiting Toffees have surged to 7th! Yes back in their traditional berth. Is the world order re-stabilising? Who knows - but a spirited match awaits here. 2-1
Liverpool vs Brighton - very similar seasons for these two, despite one of them being the future of football. The Reds need the home advantage to count, and the Filthies arrive with the tighter defence of the two. And perhaps history will judge Mo Salah’s headline stealing outburst as the turning point when things got better? 2-0
Burnley vs Fulham - too soon to say this match is the season for the Clarets? Nope, lose this and really things do begin to look grim. The Cottagers have never got going this season and are off the back of two defeats. If not now, when? 1-0 and grim viewing it’ll be too.
Arsenal vs Wolves - a formality 3-0
Sunday
Palace vs Man City - The FA Cup revisited but Citeh seem to have re-emerged from the unnecessary Pep-centric existential crisis from last season. The mighty Eagles are in winning form, but against far more meek opponents. A goal from Haaland and not much else, 0-1.
Forest vs Spurs - should be fun, Spursy Spurs are back and Forest can’t string together anything like reliable form in the league. Both played in Europe mid-week. A draw is both inevitable and equally unhelpful. 1-1
Sunderland vs Newcastle - the Tyne -Tees derby (it’s about rivers) and highly illustrative eat shall be. Toon are no good on the road but the intensity of a near neighbour rivalry cold mitigate that. The Maccems have just one win in six, after their sensational start. Somehow I think Toon find a way, but it’s not a given. 2-3
West Ham vs Villa - the Hammers really don’t need the hot-streak Villans right now. And the view from below the dotted line sustains after a dismal 0-2, for the cockneys lads.
Brentford vs Leeds - Dirty eedd have discovered confidence and what a difference it makes. They are no worse than the mid-table teams and this is another chance to prove that. The Bees have convinced no-one this season although not really in relegation contention either. 0-1
Monday
Man U v Bournemouth - are Utd back? They are still playing result roulette so they certainly are not top 4 material, but they are definitely finding it harder to lose games now. The Cherries are amid a crisis of their own, 2-0.
Where does all that leave us? Looking through the oven glass and seeing the cake starting to rise. Don’t open that door!
Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay -

Guess I only grabbed one pic last night. Gave the new rotisserie a try on a large chicken. Dry brined for two days.
Takeaways:
-I don't like the extra cleaning
-Vent settings for the fire pictured: Lower vent open the width of a credit card thickness and smokeware cap opened about 25%. (I did have a weird fire that I had to start from the underside as my dome was frozen shut) Starting fire from topside may result in a different outcome.
-Juicy bird.
-Everything about the rotisserie construction is solid. I was surprised at the USB-C power supply and high RPM motor. Time will tell how that will hold up.
-Can't use my side tables with rotisserie installed. They interfere.
Overall, it is a fun way to cook. I'm not shipping this to @alaskanassasin just yet! I will have to figure out what to spin next!
