    Let’s ignore the East Wing of Whitehouse being torn down (during federal shutdown) to build Trump’s Monument to Corruption, and the Monument to a Confederate Soldier, Pike, and KKK founder being put back up on the National Mall (also during federal shutdown) and pay attention to this:

    Trump is the 5th Column actively working from within to destroy the USA.  There is no other explanation.

    1. sending military to the streets
    2. destroying the white house
    3. removing our military leadership
    4. cozying up to North Korea, Russia, and China

    although the king is kind of a boring topic because he is objectively awful as a human being and a king, so not much to argue about.

    Truthfully, the stuff going on is so batshit bonkers that it’s good for people to be informed.  We are actively watching the demise of our great democracy experiment.  The king has literally removed all checks and balances and is daily violating the law and nobody cares.

    news flash— most people come here for comraderie and bbq.  

    plenty of opportunity to do this type of content in OT.  i contribute there occasionally.  

    you post a lot of good content around. not too much good stuff happens when people prioritize controversy first so it’s better in OT. just a recommendation to divert your energy for divisive topics.

    I wouldn't call the OT sub-forum lively, even jic stopped posting there these days.

    As for the main forum, I don't see any new members posting lately either, unless you count the spam bots. But again, one may argue political stuff in the main forum may be the proverbial last nail.

    it literally took me 3 or 4 logins and several attempts to post and edit on this thing earlier today. the frustration trying to do that is enough of a hurdle.  glad to see everyone’s thoughts. this is a low to no moderation place so just trying to make friendly nudges. i actually think there has been a lot of great activity here the last few weeks.

    Do you get angry when people hold political signs along side the road when you drive to get groceries?  We protest where and when we can.

    This forum used to be absolutely crazy with the political threads and drunken “discussions”.

    I don’t do social media except this forum - these are generally my friends and I wouldn’t hold anything against anyone for disagreeing with me - many do.

    You lost me when you said it’s great that America is using Ukraine to kill Russians. 
    1.  Russia is a destabilizing force and without provocation invaded a sovereign country.

    2.  Russia planned to use their sizable military to overrun a country that didn’t have a sizable military, especially hardware wise.

    3. Ukraine has a self interest to not be occupied and ruled by Russia.

    4.  USA provided military hardware to Ukraine to fight back the invasion.

    Conclusion: USA is using hardware built specifically to destroy Russian (and Chinese) military hardware during an armed conflict.  We spent the resources to build it, now it gets use for its intended purpose.  The world is safer every-time a Russian (and Chinese) Tank, Plane, APC, etc is destroyed.  We are safer, NATO is safer, and no American lives are being risked.

    How you value American lives and a safer world I cannot say.  I put a high value on that.

    Yep-but it's all the news you need...primarily from non MSM sources.  Or I can retire.  
    Edit: Upon further review the articles were generating some dialog among readers.  Not so now.  
    So, effective tonight I am giving my 12 hour notice.  I have declared victory with posting the 
    Main Stream ...News Feeds, Clown Show Summary and The Biggest Loser.

    No drama sought - want people to know what’s going on.  If they approve of citizens being hassled and detained by unregulated and unmarked ICE agents, have no problems with National Monuments being torn down, don’t care if social security benefits and SNAP ends, like that if the King disagrees with you he will set the federal government on you, putting military on domestic soil to attack cities, and raise/lower tariffs Willy-nilly because he gets insulted or just wants to throw a tantrum, and is selling the government to foreign powers all while dismantling our military from the inside, then so be it.

    when the king ruins the USA don’t want people to be surprised or pretend they were not warned.

    That last video is interesting because Republicans ran down an entire “Pizzagate” thing where Democrats were supposedly abusing small kids, stealing their blood after they were scared and then injecting it in themselves to live forever?  Like they took this serious.  Now with credible witnesses, testimony, and evidence they just ignore the king and his past and don’t investigate further?
