Put skinless boneless chicken breasts in the cart yesterday at 2pm. Gave them to dad yesterday to bring to camp. Left on table to 10am today then into fridge. Cooking them tomorrow for some 80plus yo elderly. Is it safe.

While there are an abundance of stories here and elsewhere of no issues with overly thawed protein, given your father's age the upside of saving a few $$ is not worth the reward. I would not toss but conduct the one-off experiment on yourself only. Then you will have a data point for the future. No need to rope your unknowing father into an experiment of counter hot aging. Just an opinion.

Hadn’t actually taken this as a serious question, given the vulnerable population referenced and the Friday delivery. But if it was, why risk it?

Use it in a chicken/shrimp stir-fry. The radiation will clean ‘em right up (Cesium-137 is actually used in food sterilization, I learned today).

So that is how this ask a question works. I get to choose the best answer to a question that I don't know
. So dad boiled the chicken in salty water last night, tossed the water and boiled it a second time for the dogs. Put it in Tupperware and there it sits this morning on the counter still.......this I'm not worried about. The dogs bury meat far longer than that and eat it. Now what to do with dad fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
