good deal this week at Publix around Atlanta.  starting in today’s Wednesday ad week. this wine is a good every day deal at $13 at Total Wine. So $7.50 is a real nice buy for a bourbon barrel red.

Way to celebrate.  I find it has very mellow wheated flavouring (nod).  I definitely pace its consumption.  Been a few years since I found it at MSRP.

I have never seen it in the wild around here for anything less than $250, let alone MSRP. CT sucks for finding good bourbon at or near MSRP. Unfortunately I got to the Nex a few minutes too late today and the few bottles they received were already gone. Blanton's isn't the greatest bourbon, but I'm happy with it at that price, and I have a few more letters to collect.

That’s only $5 over MSRP on the Blanton’s and 3x on the Weller 12 yr

Yah, the Navy Exchange pretty much sells at MSRP and will price match if you can show proof. The problem is they only get a couple Blanton's bottles each month or so and they are gone in minutes.

That's the way to get after it.  Quite a flavour (nod) range right there.

I meant to crack this open on 1Aug - my first official day of retirement. But as I mentioned in the butter keeper thread, I had a series of mini-crises pop up that needed to be dealt with.

    Better late than never:

I am definitely a fan, just not sure I can justify the $180 price tag again by the time this is gone.
KC12 is a much better bourbon...IMO. Like you, I'm glad I have a bottle but probably wont repurchase this one.

I have a bottle of both the KC12 and the KC18 (won't buy the KC18 again because to me the very large price increase isn't worth it - will just keep to the KC12 in the future).

But I will try all 3 side by side soon.

We had a bad fire in SLC that took out about six businesses in a building built in the 1920s.  One of the businesses was a place called Whiskey Street, who had supposedly one of the largest collections of whiskey in the country (in Utah?!)

    https://www.saltlakemagazine.com/salt-lake-city-main-stree-fire/

They said on the news today that most of the collection was saved, as they were stored in metal mesh cages (which were also credited with keeping part of the ceiling from collapsing).

Kinda interesting reading their menus and history on their website:

Newspaper article mentioned a few things about the LDS I had no clue about.
Too bad for the businesses.  Reads like some fire suppression system failed.
