That surprises me the spit looks to be the same width in the centre part.cmac610 said:
Unfortunately I’m hearing no. But don’t have 100% confirmation on that.zaphod said:any news if the new rotisseries will work with old baskets?
The website that @Buckwoody Egger found has had the rotisserie product preview page mysteriously vanish.

Define width. In my mind the profile of the spit rod vs. shape/size of holes in the old basket could be where the fit problem arises.

That’s my understanding as well.Canugghead said:Define width. In my mind the profile of the spit rod vs. shape/size of holes in the old basket could be where the fit problem arises.

I have the Joe for my XL but don’t use it like I thought I would. Works well though.

No video available but the info page on BGE's website is up. Interesting that it says the dome won't close completely when using the new rotisserie and this is normal. https://biggreenegg.com/blogs/guides/how-to-use-the-rotisserie?_pos=1&_psq=rotiserie&_ss=e&_v=1.0

The two times I cooked on the new one, and every time I’ve cooked with a rotisserie before, almost if not the entire cook was done with the dome open anyway. And the small gap that’s there never really impacted the cook when I did have the dome closed. I just can’t see it being an issue.Stormbringer said:No video available but the info page on BGE's website is up. I use a rotisserie with the dome closed. You can't get below 350 or so, and if you overshoot it's very slow to cool down. Have to decide whether to let the food roll at the higher temp or pull it until things settle down. Part of the fun though.
