What are everyone's thoughts on Rotisseries and suggested brands . I have been looking the BGE is quite expensive. Only Fire has one but it isn't available in the USA. Appreciate any input !

I don't even see the BGE rotisserie as available anywhere.

Anything worth the OP waiting for @HannahGreeneEgg ?South of Columbus, Ohio.

BGE Canada still has some L available, XL is sold out so stock is dwindling. I bet some dealers near the OP in Missouri might have one.
I wonder if the new one will incorporate a pizza door - a lot of the rotisseries seem to do that.~~
Large BGE, Jonesing for a MiniMax -
I use a rotisserie to cook chicken pretty much all the time, it's great. I use the LetzQ one because it's designed specifically for the Big Green Egg. It's also got the motor on the left and the handle on the right, and as I'm right handed it's better for me than than the BGE one. I also use the Kick Ash Basket divider in the base to have charcoal stacked at the back, just my taste but if there is full charcoal there's a lot of smoke from the fat landing on the coals and burning.-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I got the Joe model back in 2016 and I see Amazon currently has it on sale for considerably less than I paid back then. Highly recommended.Cincinnati, Ohio. Large BGE since 2011. Still learning.

Thanks to everyone that responded, most likely will get a Joetisserie . Found a must less expensive one but they will not sell to the USA and they are based in NC !Ova B.

YES! No details, but I’m hearing great things about the new BGE rotisserie. The distributors got to see it last week and we’ll get a chance to cook with it at the Ace Hardware show in San Antonio in a few weeks. Yes…BGE hasn’t been able to sell the original here in the States for a while now, so a redesign has been in the works. That being said, I have one of the originals (same as the one you posted) and really like it, so I’m excited to get me grubby little hands on the new one.Stormbringer said:

Ok that will be interesting. The original BGE one was basically the same as the LetzQ that I have but with the handle on the left hand side. As I'm right handed, I much preferred the LetzQ model as that had the handle on the right ... maybe that's why BGE had trouble selling their one.cmac610 said:

It will be interesting to see whether BGE have addressed this, e.g. having a model whereby the motor can go on either side. It's also hard to imagine what inventive step could be applied to a rotisserie, unless it's been made into a rotisserie / pizza wedge combo. Now that would be interesting.
This is a comparison of the LetzQ and BGE (original) rotisserie.

It works for me but I am redirected to Meat Smoke and Fire's website as they fulfill orders for the UK where I am. I guess the LetzQ website knows I am in the UK so sends me there. Maybe there's an issue with order fulfillment outside of the UK.-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the teaser - any chance you can share the right side vs. left side motor mount? For us without a Mega ACE nearby will this be an item common ACE stores will simply have available for order? And the real teaser aka head scratcher about - "No huge “wedge ring” to have to find storage for"...sounds like it will be hinged or segmented so it is collapsible hence the "slick hard side carrying case". And lastly...price idea for an XL and for a L?cmac610 said:

A good design would be to have the motor being able to be housed on both sides, thus addressing the market for both left and right handed people. I'm struggling to think of a design that doesn't have some aspect of wedge as the dome does need to lift to accommodate the rotisserie spit itself. Maybe a segmented model that allows the motor to be mounted on either side, with the spit rest on the other side?cmac610 said:

The reason I'm interested in knowing is the way I built my table I placed my Large on the left and my Small on the right and I only have 8" between them. I figure I could always sacrifice the length of the handle if need be, but the motor and mounting base is another matter.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

I saw a video of the show with the new rotisserie and it had very thin plates on each side as opposed to a wedge. The dome shut down on top of them . I wonder if what I saw might possibly be used from either side ?RRP said:The reason I'm interested in knowing is the way I built my table I placed my Large on the left and my Small on the right and I only have 8" between them. Just a quick update on the NEW BGE Rotisserie…
If you joined us at the New England Eggfest, you saw it in action! I cooked whole chicken and a beautiful Prime Rib.
It IS designed to be able to put the motor on either side! For @RRP and @Stormbringer.And the LG Rotisseries are on a ship coming to the stores soon. The XL’s will follow. Your local ACE and authorized dealers should be able to take pre-orders as they’ve booked them. Pricing, although previously released, may change due to tariffs.Craig aka Cmac Cooks
