Quick, easy, late lunch. With leftover lentil soup (no pic).

We have a local gas station that has this takeout counter (a former Subway, I would guess) cranking out amazing sandwiches. Most are 10 loonies. Very generous on toppings and made on fresh Italian bread. We usually get them cold and then pan fry at home when ready to eat. We opted for Bifana and an Italian Trio. Paired with sparkling wine, for fun, and consumed during another episode of The Bear while the kids were away.

A lot of the time when I'm lazy I'll open up a bag of instant ramen, toss in a handful of shrimp from the freezer (always on hand) and also any veg I need to use up (bok-choy and scallions here).
This is from S Korea, and I've read warnings it's very hot, so I only used half the sauce packet; a wise move, it was still terribly hot but edible. I bought this instant ramen in a bag of five or something, so I'll use other broth ingredients and just a dash or so of the sauce for the rest. I really liked the texture of these noodles, springy and enough curl to slurp up soup.
Not posted in WAYCTD as this is not "cheffing", it's boiling.

Late lunch from earlier today . . . crab cakes, fried oysters, remanents of calamari appetizer and a big poofy bag with lobster/corn/potatoes. Both of us got our cholesterol back up multiple points.

Pork belly has definitely been discovered by the main stream. That canape sounds great @JohnInCarolina. No doubt a party to celebrate the CHEETO birthday...

Was feeling really lazy this morning and picked up a TV Dinner for lunch; haven't had one of those in decades (I now remember why).
Anyhoo, the heating instructions said in bolded Cap letters:
DO NOT HEAT IN A TOASTER OVEN; USE MICROWAVE OR CONVENTIONAL OVEN ONLY!
Anyone have any idea why not?

Paula Deen, lol. I will never forget her recipe for a milkshake, which in addition to four cups of ice cream, calls for eight tablespoons of raw sugar.Buckwoody Egger said:
