That’s a West thing. We just throw some more coal on the fire.Legume said:Oh man, that's brutal. Brown outs on the menu? -
I haven't heard of any just yet, but the power company is definitely worried about them. They sent an email to all customers asking them to consider going easier on their AC use when they can.Legume said:Oh man, that's brutal. Brown outs on the menu?
Regardless, glad we have a standby generator installed."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Starting 2nd stage carbonation ferment on the tepache and also an entirely new ferment with the same stock.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

That’s comical. My 12 tons of AC doesn’t live anywhere near “economical” from May 1 to October 31JohnInCarolina said:

Yeah I'm not sure anyone is turning their AC down a whole lot anytime soon. That being said, there were other electrical load requests that were more reasonable and that people might follow.ColbyLang said:

I was once driving my old Toyota with a dead AC. My old Boxer girl licked the AC vent and gave me serious side eye.

Live look at MISO demand, if you're interested. Our projected peak is around 120,000 Megawatts/120 Gigawatts. That's a substantial load. Not locally concerned about brown outs here, but they may implement rolling-blackouts if needed. These typically last 1-2 hours per location

See I was always told that 1.21 gigawatts was all we ever needed to travel back to the future.hoosier_egger said:Live look at MISO demand, if you're interested. Prepping for another demo cook at Ace tomorrow. I used to buy all the food myself - new situation has changed things a bit, so this time they bought all the food for me

Looking forward to another fun cook - scheduled beautiful weather tomorrow should only be a high of 103, might not even need the shades!I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Bonus day experience right there. ^^^^Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Been past it hundreds of times, never been inside. Didn’t go in today either. Maybe on the way home.

Another fun demo cook, same spread as last time, it’s easy, people really like it, and it highlights a lot of the spices and stuff the store sells.
