CHEETO has walked back the Veteran's Day F' up he started. Haven't heard anything further about the May 8th deal although that would be another suck up to Vlad the Impaler.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! just my opinion but the best way to understand war is to listen to and read accounts from the people that were in it.
glorification, especially by non-participants, is cheap and should be ignored. -
I've never served in the military, nor had a bone spur, but I'm embarrassed when this guy puts on a military jacket for his Commander in Chief cosplay.

Also CHEETO is planning a military parade for June 14th; the 250th birthday of the US Army and unfortunately CHEETO's as well. I'm sure the media will be given press guides for how to present the deal in the glossiest terms flattering the new "Dear Leader."Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. If he actually goes through with that parade on his birthday, the self-obsession will be off the charts, even by his standards.

One news/commentary source I follow brought up an interesting set of facts:
- 80% of the professional US fireworks, and 100% of the commercial fireworks, are made in China,
- A couple companies front-ordered fireworks before the tariffs, but all standing orders have now been cancelled (percentages were not reported),
- Wild conjecture here, but I'm guessing most MAGAts will be able to brave getting their little girls only two dolls instead of 30 this coming Christmas, but if they can't get their fireworks this July... there will be blood in the streets."Old age is a thing.. last night I was in bed for 20 min when I heard the pizza guy cough. More on the parade:
"The U.S. Army will hold a military parade in the nation’s capital on June 14 as part of its 250th birthday celebration—an event that also coincides with President Trump’s 79th birthday.
Plans call for about 6,600 soldiers, 150 vehicles, and 50 helicopters to follow a route from Arlington, Virginia, to the National Mall.
The parade will feature reenactors, demonstrations, and historical equipment spanning from the Revolutionary War through the Global War on Terror (Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria), alongside active-duty troops and cadets from U.S. military academies.
The event will require involvement from several federal agencies, including those requiring security. The Army plans to have soldiers from each of its 10 divisions represented in the parade, according to a U.S. official."

Monday TRUMP ADMINISTRATION LITIGATION
"Trump’s executive order targeting the law firm Perkins Coie was unconstitutional, a federal judge ruled on Friday. In a final ruling directing the Trump administration not to enforce the order’s terms, Judge Beryl Howell opined that the directive amounted to unlawful coercion and imperiled lawyers’ ability to freely practice law. Zach Montague reports for the New York Times.
A divided federal appellate court on Saturday issued a stay of a lower court decision that had ordered the government to reinstate staffers working for the Voice of America news outlet, finding that the lower court likely did not have jurisdiction to order the employees back to work. Prior to the ruling, the DOJ indicated the agency would begin a “phased return” to the office and resume programming next week, with the plans for the outlet now unclear. Katherine Long and Ben Johansen report for POLITICO.
Radio Free Asia is laying off most of its staff and shutting down some of its broadcasts, the news outlet’s CEO Bay Fang said, saying the RFA’s funds are running low amid a court battle with the Trump administration over congressionally allocated funding. Brian Stelter reports for CNN.
The Justice Department on Friday sued Colorado and Denver for allegedly interfering with federal efforts to enforce immigration laws, in the Trump administration’s latest attempt to target “sanctuary” policies adopted by some cities. Thomas Peipert reports for AP News.

Gary Grumbach and Nnamdi Egwuonwu report for NBC News. "

Trump admin's getting bench-slapped all over. Judges blocking deportations, freezing cuts, and calling out weak excuses. SCOTUS let the trans military ban go ahead, for now, but yeah, legal whiplash all around.
