The collective we should be beyond ashamed that we have devolved to this in 2025 (or any other year).
Yes an isolated incident but the underlying foundation of legal standing, human dignity, beliefs, and social norms has to mean more than to be a goon in the orbit of CHEETO.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Unfortunately it’s not an isolated incident.

No surprises there ^^^^.  It is classic "Easier to beg forgiveness (the courts), then ask permission."

This seems like a real winner move, politically:

I’m sure that’s why the GOP is pursuing this, right?  Because they care about the citizens.

Yeah, good thing we’re eliminating the Department of Education.  I’m sure that will help too.

You're right, they've obviously failed at their jobs, so let's just eliminate the entire department.  Kids will still feel left behind, but at least federal employees will learn their lesson!

i see your point, federal department of education employees will pay higher overdraft fees when they lose their pay.  i didnt know those fees are 5 bucks, i see now its been on the books for about 3 months =)  the sky is falling

My paycheck is not fully deposited on my checking for 3 to 5 days after putting it in. Funny how they don't give you cash either if there's no money in there yet

So knowing all the games played here, why would anyone vote for allowing banks to charge whatever they want for a fee on an overdraft? Note this is independent of the money they’re owed.

I don't know. How long has this gone on, how many presidents have you voted for that allowed it 😁 anyways, miss a visa payment and you are looking at maybe 34 percent interest. There's worse things, this is just a smoke screen for trump

Your paycheck is not eligible for Direct Deposit?

If I don't have money for my check I don't deposit it til it's there. Small businesses get abused getting paid in 30 days. Sometimes it's 60 90 120 days....employees need to get paid on time

I know this is hard to fathom, but perhaps the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was, you know, actually protecting consumers?

I wasn't really sure because SO MUCH is happening every day, so I asked "Siri" this question:
"How many of trump's tariffs have actually been enacted so far?"
I did not take a screenshot of my question, so I'm paraphrasing myself here a bit; but I did take a screenshot of her answer (and yeah, I know Siri is a huge failure and embarrassment for Apple):
