How long can a frozen brisket from SRF be kept frozen before cooking?
The problem with a problem is that you don't know it's a problem until it's a problem, and that is a big problem.

Given the cryovac is intact I would guess a couple of years at a minimum. That guesstimate is not based on SRF (although I have kept one frozen for a year) but on finding a frozen turkey at the 3 year mark and all was well when thawed and cooked.

I had two SRF briskets in my deep freezer for 3 years. No issues cooking them.Plymouth, MN

There are 2 issues here.
1) How long can it stay in the freezer and still be safe to eat. The answer is "decades" if not longer. Nothing grows at that temperature.
2) How long can it stay in the freezer and still be a high quality product that I really want to eat? It might be the same answer, but I'd inspect it and look for areas of freezer burn before I cook it. And I'd personally try to get it on a smoker in the next few months, but I wouldn't sweat it if it was a few more years.XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle
