What do Canadians do on Canada Day?  I imagine it's some version of going around congratulating everyone, in the most friendly and polite way possible.

we stand around waiting for the other person to go through the door. It's called a "Canadian standoff"

50% (if not more) of the population move to new homes and the other half is drinking in their backyards.  A small percentage of cool dudes are going to celebrations.

I’d take that over an “American standoff”.

Watch air shows.  I live across the river from parliament hill and the airplanes are turning around just above our backyard for the air show.  Not a cloud in sight!

Spitfire, P-51, are easy, is the third one maybe a Hawker Hurricane?

I’m on my 5th poutine today
Making a new video?  I love Poutine, but 5 in a day may be too much for me.

I think it says all you need to know about Canada that they’ve never felt the need to upgrade their Air Force beyond propellers.
Could be if you're nice to people they don't want to attack you?
Happy Canada Day to the folks up north, glad that all of you are on this site.

I’m thinking the next time I’m in Ottawa visiting the kid and his tribe we should get together. Thoughts?

The locals were less then hospitable.  We passed through there on an RV tour.  Tried to find a place to overnight and every place I called was rude (I think it was because I spoke English).  My wife driving in a separate vehicle went into a Starbucks and spent 15 minutes trying to order a simple drink, one you could just point at the menu to order, and they pretended to not understand. She walked out without coffee. We continued on.  Once we landed for the night in an English speaking area, the locals there explained that Quebec doesn't even want to be part of Canada.  The locals are rude on purpose.  That was my very limited experience.

Apparently you have never seen Aces: Iron Eagle III. …. a true gem of early 90s movie craft.
