First Time Chuck Roast Burnt Ends
Smoked a couple of chuck roasts on the Egg with apple wood
at 250F, took about 5 hours to get to the initial target temp of 190F. Cubed them and added some BBQ sauce and rub, back on the smoker for 2 more hours, waiting for that stuff to caramelize. Very tasty at this point.

Lookin good right there.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

They came out with a nice crisp on the outside, they were tender throughout. They were claimed to be a home run by family. I’ll need larger roasts next time as the yield was good for an appetizer, but shy of a meal. Five hours on smoke, 2 more to crisp up.
