I was all set to cook Easter dinner on the Egg, but with the forum being down, couldn’t establish whether the Egg could be used to boil water or not.

I had to made a purchase without getting backing or advice from anyone because the forum was down.
I can't say it went all that well though.
I have learned to never make a purchase decision again without guidance from a bunch of people I really know nothing about. -
I couldn’t get Nola’s au grautin recipe. It cost me a potato dish. My kids hated the substitution. I don’t post often but I’m thankful for those that do.
-
Send it back. There's a better version for sure. What was the unfortunate purchase?

BBQ Guys has the Jotisserie listed for $206 on there web site. Not the basket, the actual rotisserie. I chatted with two different reps about whether it was in stock, used and why was it so much cheaper then anywhere else. Both assured me it was in stock ready to ship and the actual rotisserie.Elijah said:Send it back. There's a better version for sure. What was the unfortunate purchase?
Half hour after I placed my order my card was charged. Shortly after I get an email its backordered and should ship by the 17th.
I learned to not trust BBQ Guys and was thankful I used PayPal who notified them of my dispute. This morning I got a confirmation for my refund.
I got my Joetisserie delivered from Amazon today for $260, still a little cheaper than most sites.

Not sure the forum would have been a help but I need to blame someone.....Hungry Joe said:

I made Nola's recipe, except I substituted cauliflower for the potatoes, I only had water, no buttermilk, and I don't like cheese on my cauliflower, so I skipped it.fishlessman said:
