Seems like I've read opinions on applying rub right before or several hours ahead of cooking. Just wondering what any of your thoughts and experiences are.

I've not found it necessary to season ahead of time. Didn't notice any difference the one time I did apply rub earlier.Stillwater, MN

What @lkapigian said. They can almost get 'hammy' is it's salt heavy and applied too soon.~ John - Formerly known as ColtsFan - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger
