Very easy to do and great taste!
Mix:
1 pound (450g) ground pork
3 french shallots (chopped) (1 onion?)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 egg (beaten)
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons orange juice
8g (1 teaspoon) salt
Pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon MSG
Stuff with:
3 tablespoons cranberry sauce
Cover with:
1/2 cup parmesan (grated)
Bake for 15 minutes (turn after 10 minutes) @ 400F
I wasn’t happy with the colour and the IT already reached over 165F after 15 minutes so I finished with a blowtorch.
I’ve done these a couple of times now and they are pretty good.
The cheesy/crunchy parmesan crust is awesome! They can be prepared ahead of time and cooked just before serving with a toothpick and homemade mustard dip.

One question - you’re stuffing each with 3 TBS of Cranberry sauce? Because in that one picture it looks like maybe quite a bit less than that.
Of course, I guess it’s possible that you’ve got some huge balls there…"I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

3 tablespoons is the total, I just put a tiny bit.JohnInCarolina said:One question - you’re stuffing each with 3 TBS of Cranberry sauce? Because in that one picture it looks like maybe quite a bit less than that.

First time I hear about it! 🤣😂. We live in a cultural bubble, we have our own TV shows, etc. I didn’t speak a word of english until I was about 12 years old. We had english classes but it sucked! I basically learned by reading technical documentation and enabling english subtitles while watching TV. Until maybe 10 years ago, I didn’t watch any english TV shows.JohnInCarolina said:

http://YouTube.com/bPpcfH_HHH8Does this translate to “gosses sallées?”I hear you. I grew up an Anglo-Quebecker but my entirely-Anglo folks were wise and placed me in French immersion. I am now relatively proficient. My wife is Franco-Ontarian but got her English to the point she wrote her thesis in English and now has no accent whatsoever. Both are so necessary in this region. -
That's amazing. What's the difference between french shallots and the other kind?NOLA

It is most likely the same thing and a poor translation on my end.buzd504 said:That's amazing. What's the difference between french shallots and the other kind?
In french, shallot translates to «échalotes». Around here, «échalotes» means green onions and «échalotes françaises» means shallot.

I have the worst accent ever, there are some words that I just cannot pronounce regardless of how hard I try. At work, I almost exclusively speak english.____________________Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. •Niccolo Machiavelli -

Thanks. Maybe that's where the confusion here of calling green onions "shallots" originates. Helpful.
