Kick Ash Basket.  When you need to remove the lump to clean out the ash, you will be thankful for it.

Racks / Stones / other accessories to raise your grid.  I wasn't prepared for how much raised direct improves chicken and other grilled foods.  It is fun to cook a steak right down next to the coals, but raising the grid is an important trick for brats, chicken, thick pork chops, etc.  There are a million options from empty beer cans, to CGS rigs.  Pick one and get comfortable with it.

Go to the Ceramic Grill Store online, occasionally there is a sale. Kick Ash Basket for r sure and something to do both raised direct and raised indirect. Add to that a thermopen.

Instant read thermometer.  Any thermometer will do on a brisket or a pork shoulder.  But when you've got 6 steaks going at once, the faster the better.

And welcome aboard.  Enjoy the journey and post some cooks.  We'll learn as much from you as you learn from any of us.

Instant read thermometer.  I like Thermapen and thermopop.  Javelins get good reviews too.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.  Above all, have fun.
Give the search function here a look as this question has rightly been asked many times.
That said, I echo an instant read thermo.  And a way to cook indirect so that you can enjoy low and slow cooks.
Here's a link to a couple of great thermos:

And the Ceramic Grill Store for accessories linked here:

A good quality instant read thermometer is one of the best tools you'll own grill or no grill. It will get used plenty in the kitchen.

I'd personally hold off on any accessories until you find out what you actually need. It's easy to spend others people's money here. I will echo the Ceramic Grill Store for any real accessories with the BGE. Once you get a little more experience and have an idea what you need, I'd call the Ceramic Grill Store and talk with the owner. Explain what you cook and what you might be looking for. He won't oversell you anything. He's a long time egger and forum member. (Plus his stuff is made here in America. Top notch guy and business)

Good advice on the instant read thermometer. I missed that in my first post.

Basically, just clear out your retirement account, savings account, and sock drawer.  Just give your money to the BGE accessory makers.

The only must have accessory is a set up for indirect cooks. There are several vendors that make setups so you are not limited to BGE branded ones. Shop carefully, or buy twice!!!
