OT - Taco Bell and Asinine Stupid marketing

Ran across this video on Ewetube, only needed to watch to 1:45.
I was first introduced to "tacos" in gradeschool.  It was suggested as an end-of-year class feed; Pretty-boy-and-oh-so-popular Derrick yelled, "I LOVE tacos, with gobs and gobs of cheese!"  We plated up, and as I got to the end of the line the cheese tray was empty (there was a Huge Life Lesson there, that I hadn't figured out until a couple years ago).  I mentioned the banquet to Mom (who'd lived in CA for 6 months) and she started making them, Dad loved them, and that became our Sunday supper (and, I got some cheese!)
Taco Bell hit South Dakota, in the early '70's, and we all loved the Enchirito.  I've pulled a couple "copycat" recipes off the 'net for them, but they're not the same.  After watching the first 1:45 of the video, I turned it off and started reading the comments... a huge majority of the watchers with no life (like me) wanted the enchirito back.
Is this how you run a successful business??

@Botch - I don’t see a link to the video.  But back in the 70’s I was addicted to Taco Bell’s Beefy Tostada.  It had real ground beef, freshly cut tomatoes, etc.  It was fantastic (I was a teenager, so who knows).  That franchise has gone a million miles in the wrong direction.

I probably didn’t have Taco Bell until 79 or 80. Bean burritos were the food of last resort in college, about two for a little over a buck.

And coming out of your crack minutes later....

Which reminds me of a story of my friend in college and the local McDonald's on campus. After a night of drinking at the bar we walk over to McDonald's. My friend orders and says, "I'll take a number 5 and scotch tape". The McDonald's employee looked confused and says , "Scotch tape?' My friend says, "Put some in there because I'm going to be sh*tting it out on the walk home!"

Taco bell is the best, most consistent, easiest to eat while driving road trip food.  You want subway from the gas station? Have at it.

A Taco Bell is opening here in Lincoln, never seen them in the UK before. I'm sure my boys will give it a try, they are junk food connoisseurs.

Can we talk about how much their new logo design sucks? Looks like a film negative, or the sun's washed out the color.

I remember being a poor E3 in the Navy with poor money management skills. There would be days I would sit in the TB parking lot waiting for my pay check to drop at 9PM so I could eat and then go drink the rest of my paycheck away.

Apparently the enchirito is available from the secret menu. I suppose that most fast food outlets have a secret menu.

I’m not proud of this, but I have tossed cold, left over TB bean burritos on a smoking egg to reheat them.  A little crispy and smoky wasn’t a bad thing.

Years back after a few cocktails, linda and I decided to stop for a "Big Bag Of Regret, AKA Taco Bell"...........fast forward to the next day " Babe, didn't we get food last night" , " I thought we did,  searched high and low, no food ,guess that never happened  ............a couple weeks later,  I go to put something in the truck of her car, and like a beacon from heaven, there sat the bag of taco bell......still in mint condition as though it had been preserved through time, yes I thought about it , but did toss it

How brave do you have to be to order something off Taco Bell’s “secret menu” ?

I’m sure they’re incredible when you’re already three sheets to the wind.
