    The biggest and most common misinformation I see is when a member asks a question specific to the XL and it's answered by people that do not own or have never cooked on the XL.lol
    Ohhh, and responding to someone's beautiful food post by saying I would never eat that because it has too much fat, salt or calories.

    To be more specific.
    What I need to paint are the actual porch deck boards that you walk on. It’s a covered porch but I do not need to paint the ceiling. 
    I know Sherwin Williams makes great house paint. Unfortunately their porch board paint gets terrible reviews.

    If you will let me know the specifics on the wood you have purchased, I may be able to help you select what may be the solution for your question.

    99.99% of all paint issues are 2 things:
    1) Improperly prepared substrate for whatever reason.
    2) poor though cure for whatever reason. 

    Matching the coating type to substrate type is fundamental, environment and application procedures are secondary. Like a tool for a job, a 3/4 inch socket used to saw a plastic pipe will ultimately end in failure.

    I have done some work with wood coatings many years ago, both architectural and marine, but have since moved on to metallurgical and exotic niche applications. I can do some research and perhaps provide a system that may be ideal for your application needs.

    The most successful applications result from outstanding preparation.
