Continued Quest for Hasselback Potatoes

2021 Attempt- new tool though-the Air Fryer comes into play.
Sliced them up as normal
Into Air Fryer for 8 min at 400
Onto Egg @350 raised direct for 20 min
*Needed Air Fryer to make Brussel Sprouts which the people who choose to eat them said were much better than on the egg*

As the Potato had to go back in Air Fryer for 5 more min at 400



And there we go- almost there.  Im on the right track with the air fryer.

    Slice them, drizzle olive oil, sprinkle salt and cook them upside down (slices facing down).  I know it is counterintuitive but I think that less oil actually results in crispier slices.  I typically bake those when doing low and slow indirect cooks (adding them in the last 2-3 hours) and you actually get fat splatters hitting from the bottom so it gives a crispy outside on the bottom (which is actually the top).

    They are pretty solid.  When I’ve done them I had some issue with getting some space between the slices.  I look forward to seeing the feedback.
