That’s absurd. $50 a pound? Nothing is worth that much, and I love Franklins Brisket. Of course I can drive down to Austin in about 3hrs and pay $20 a pound in person. Which is honestly still absurd.

I can fly there in 4 hours for $172 and eat fresh brisket
People will buy this, no doubt.

My brother uses the goldbelly service a bunch and loves it. Not sure I'd pay $250 for a couple lbs of brisket though.

except you can't go eat there now. They have been closed since March due to The 'Rona. They are doing to go and mail order only.$50lb is insane for any brisket but I can see it for a corporate event or party etc where cost is not the deciding factor. I bet they sell a lot of it. My wife had Salt lick shipped into WI for my 40th (they were the only ones doing it back then). I'm sure it wasn't cheap but it was a great party and I've never forgotten watching people's eyes roll back in their heads eating mediocre steam tray BBQ in middle of winter in WI. Worth every penny.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

You have to remember that there are people on this forum that view 50 dollars a pound the same way that some of us less fortunate folks view 50 cents a pound. 50 dollars a pound won’t even make them blink an eye. It certainly will not dent their pockets.TEXASBGE2018 said:That’s absurd. $50 a pound? Nothing is worth that much, and I love Franklins Brisket. All I can say is it must be nice. Unfortunately I will never know the feeling. Back to my bologna sandwich now............Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

You guys are forgetting the bottle of sauce that comes with the brisket. That reduces the price per pound of brisket to probably $48 a pound. 😉

Some rich people bury their money in coffee cans, others just bury briskets.nolaegghead said:SGH said:
