Seeking a cast iron skillet that will fit in my large BGE

I'm in search of a monster sized cast iron skillet for my big green egg, gas grill, stove top and in oven.

I see BGE sells a 14" round model that I presume will fit fine. There's a generic one on Bed Bath and Beyond's website that is cheapest, and Smithey has an artesianal, made in the usa, 14" version for a lot more money.

Has anyone used the BGE (https://biggreenegg.com/product/cast-iron-skillet/) or Smithey (https://smithey.com/products/no-14-dual-handle-skillet) version? I have scoured ebay and esty, but hard to find skillets 13-15" in diameter that have dual handles rather than a long handle that will not fit on the egg.

I recommend a Lodge double dutch oven. The top is a skillet. Big enough for 4 sausages at once.

For a large egg you’d prob want the 12”. With the handles will prob be more like 14”. The 17 may be too big

Thanks. That 17" would be great, but it's too big for my oven and I would bet too big for the BGE. (maybe it would barely squeeze in?)

I'd love something that big, but alas, it's too big.

Get the 12”. That’s a classic size.

Get the 12”. That’s a classic size.

12" is too close to the 10" lodge skillet I already have.

Looking to go as big as possible to justify adding another piece.

There is no comparison between BGE cast iron and Smithey. The question is if you want to pay the price. I’m a cast iron collector. For modern I wouldn’t go below lodge in quality.

@jld - I had a similar issue with a Lodge 17" pizza pan that didn't quite fit. So I cut off one of the two handles with a hack saw - https://eggheadforum.com/discussion/comment/2344789#Comment_2344789

I have this one I got from academy, its not lodge but it I like it. I cooked bacon enough times in it to get a good seasoning in it and I use it in my large. fits perfect.

Are you sure that's a large egg? It looks more like an XL to me.
