best book for homemade rubs?

want to get my BIL a book for homemade rubs and such. is there a book just for that and if so, what is the one you recommend? rubs for steak, chicken, brisket, etc

Hard for me to think of a hardcover book when I so often simply consult free resources online.

I do not know if it’s the best, but I picked this one up years ago for 5 bucks. It’s almost 300 pages of nothing but rubs, marinades, etc etc. I know a lot of people do not really care for SR (myself included) but it’s actually a very good book and very well written. I give credit where credit is due, he has some great rubs and marinades in the book.

I have this one also. That’s where my Turkish marinade came from . Mr Kirk is old school bbq. I have had this book for a long time and it is a good one. Coupled with the fact I cant stand anything about Steven "whatever his name is". I recommend this book often.TheBigLeggowsky said:I like this one!
