Same circle I have been in for quite some time.  However, I have developed a tangential escape routine.  Thus leading to frequent LEO and ever increasing escape velocity trips.  Or perhaps my memory is making the trips seem longer and more enjoyable.  IDK.  B)

I’m know I’m going. I’m just trying to get into middle management at this point.

Saturday morning we're off to St. John's Newfoundland to spend a week with the wife's parental units. I love my in-laws, but no matter how long you've been married, on some level you're still "the guy doin his daughter"...

Unless you’re doing it in front of them, I fail to see why this would be an issue.

We spend a lot of time and even travel quite a bit with my in laws. They are very generous, help immensely with the kids and are people that I have my own adult relationship with. Best of all, our relationship with them makes my wife very happy, which in turn makes me happy.

I haven't been to Newfoundland in many years and have no memory of the place. That being said, I’d like to go back and am jealous of your trip.

Headed to Asheville tomorrow for the long weekend. Truck’s loaded down with firewood, camper with plenty of adult beverages. Hoping for good weather.
Have been wanting to take my wife there ever since it was highlighted as a good spot to visit on a separate thread in this forum.

    Have a great time.

Our next few trips are to Universal Orlando over Thanksgiving, some time in Durham for Xmas with the in-laws and a few nights in the Outer Banks with them over spring break in March.

Now we’re starting to plan our big summer 2020 trip (Glacier NP is the current leader), and maybe a few nights with my parents in either the White Mountains or Finger Lakes area.

Well I can report the weather from Texas.  Monday it was a cool 113.  It has finally gotten into the low 90's and will hopefully stay that way.

Headed for two weeks in the Adirondacks. Hiking and kayaking, with a little sightseeing on the rainy days. Fourth year going, and I would continue to go forever if I could. Spending a week in the north end, then trying out the south end for a change.

One night staycation Friday night with 15 year old guitar head son in Nashville.

Got a room downtown so I don’t have to drive home to the burbs after we go to Live on the Green to see Robert Randolph and The Family Band, Guster, and St. Paul & The Broken Bones
