How Old can frozen flank steak be and still be good

I just looked in my freezer and found some flank steaks dated 2/12/17. Would they still be good and how to tell.

In the same vein about freezer burn the only meat that I won't eat due to freezer burn is chicken. Past experience has been bad even trying to cut off the affected exterior.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time
