How Old can frozen flank steak be and still be good

I just looked in my freezer and found some flank steaks dated 2/12/17.    Would they still be good and how to tell.  
Advice would be appreciated

May be texturaly off and degraded a bit but should be fine

Long as there’s no burn, should be good to go.

As above.  If the cryovac is still good then you are fine.  Have at it.

As others have said... should be fine (i.e., probably won't kill you) but quality may have degraded.

In the same vein about freezer burn the only meat that I won't eat due to freezer burn is chicken. Past experience has been bad even trying to cut off the affected exterior.
